Hygiene concept for all TU Berlin University Library locations
Entry
The maximum number of users is restricted according to current regulations. This number varies by location.
Entry is only granted to persons who are picking up orders or returning items. Security personnel will be present to conduct entry controls.
Please do not visit the library if you show symptoms of a cold or feel generally ill.
Mouth and nose protection required
Visitors are required to wear mouth and nose protection in all public traffic areas, including restrooms, in all locations.
Library use and path guidance
In critical places, we have provided mandatory instructions on how to proceed. This particularly applies to entry and exit areas as well as areas susceptible to bottlenecks. Scanners may be used under observation of distance regulations.
Please observe codes of conduct indicated on posted signs. Floor markings and barrier tape have been installed to indicate appropriate routes and distancing of at least 1.5 meters.
The library staff is instructed to speak with visitors who do not comply with distance regulations.
Use of study spaces
The use of study spaces in certain areas of the University Library is not possible.
Surface disinfectant is available to disinfect scanners.
Information desks
Information desks are equipped with plexiglass protective barriers for the protection of library staff. Library staff will wear mouth-nose protection when interacting with visitors elsewhere.
More extensive research assistance and advising as well as trainings are offered in digital format.
